2024 GCCA Spring Conference

Greetings to Georgia's Best!


Thank you for registering for this year's Spring Conference.  This year we have TWO HUNDRED & SIXTY FIVE attendants; a conference record in my six years of coordinating this event for our organization! We are very excited about the speakers joining us and look forward to the opportunities for learning and networking that our conference provides.  Please see the attached conference schedule and map of the conference center. Speaker bios and course descriptions will be shared soon so that you may print for your convenience.


As you make plans for your trip, here are a few reminders:

School is in session; the UGA campus will be busy!


Wearing Conference Name Tag/Badge is necessary at all times. It will be needed at lunch for seating.


"We CAN do it! Canned Food Drive” - As an organization, we ask that you join us in an effort to collect and donate canned food for the homeless in Athens.  We are asking each coach to bring one canned food item to donate at registration.  These items will be donated to an Athens area food bank as a “Thank You” to the Classic City for being such a wonderful host site for the last few years.



Conference Center Hotel Check-in Time - 4:00 p.m.

Tax exempt forms are required at check-in to avoid being charged/paying taxes.


Parking -  If you are registered to stay at the Continuing Education Center Hotel, you will receive a parking pass upon check-in. 


  • IMPORTANT: If you are commuting or have lodging elsewhere,  you must complete the following form  by March 8th, so that I may secure a parking pass for you.  You will receive the requested parking pass at registration. If you do not respond by March 8th, I will not be able to comp your parking and you will be required to pay parking on your own.

Conference Registration - You will register in the atrium just outside of Mahler. Registration will be organized by Region and will begin at 7:30 am.  The opening rally with this year’s team of the year - Newnan High School- will begin promptly at 8:00 am.  A standing continental breakfast will be available from 7:30- 8:00 am.


Bring a Bag- Don't forget to bring a tote bag for yourself to carry all the vendor goodies that will be offered.
